Eric Graves, manager of the Bristol Marine Shipyard in Boothbay Harbor, reports that although work in the yard is curtailed by the CDC guidelines, he has been working with Hannah Gray, the Phase II DCR Owner’s Rep, and Capt. Craig Dalton of MMA on the nearly completed specifications and estimates for the systems that will be installed as part of Phase II.
The contract has not been finalized so there is no work on Ernestina-Morrissey now, but Andy says “ We have begun  milling the raw pine lumber which DCR delivered to us a few months ago that came from a State Forest in Western MA. The pine tongue and groove boards will be used in the focsle.” T his interior finish carpentry will honor the traditional finish of an Essex Grand Banks schooner.

Right now with planning for Phase II progressing, the team has asked for photos of the interior of the ship. They are particularly interested in the aft cabin. Please contact SEMA if you have photos to share.
